Lyrical dance classes combines the elements of ballet and jazz.  Lyrical dance encourages the dancer to communicate emotion through movement and the lyrics of the song.  Lyrical dance is very passionate and can tell a story through movement of the body.  The term Lyrical dance comes from the word “Lyrical” which means to have poetic, expressive quality while expressing spontaneous feelings and deep personal emotions.  When learning Lyrical, it is important and helpful to have a solid background in ballet, jazz and modern dance.
